The City of Clarksburg and the Clarksburg Development Authority are rehabilitating the historic Robinson Grand Theater into a 950-seat educational and performing arts center. The $22.6 million renovation project will bring the region and its residents a vibrant, diverse array of productions and programs designed to engage seniors, adults, teens, children, schools, and community organizations. The project reestablishes the theater as an economic, educational, and cultural anchor for the region. The facility will host over 100 events annually and generate over $32 million of economic impact during the first 5 years of operation. In addition to the performances, the theater will offer courses and workshops for youth, teachers, and adults focused on literacy, art, music and acting.
