Madera Unified School District (MUSD) serves students from the rural Madera community, where 89% come from low-income families, and 94% are minorities, predominantly Hispanic (90%). To enhance career readiness and workforce development, MUSD utilized NMTC financing to develop a $46 million, 42,809 sq. ft. Career Technical Education (CTE) School. This facility is designed to introduce middle school students to high-demand career pathways, equipping them with early exposure to technical skills and industry certifications that lead to high-wage, high-growth careers.
The school features high-tech laboratories, interconnected classrooms, a 95-seat lecture room, an equipment shop, and student collaboration areas. Career pathways include Agriculture & Natural Resources, Manufacturing & Engineering, Health Science & Medical Technology, Digital & Performing Arts, Business & Entrepreneurship, and Public Safety—all critical industries for the regional economy.
